Inconel 600 is a nickel-chromium-iron based solid solution strengthened alloy with good high temperature corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance, excellent cold and hot processing and welding performance.
The chemical composition of Inconel 600 alloy tube is usually nickel (Ni) content ≥72%, chromium (Cr) 14 - 17%, iron (Fe) 6 - 10%, carbon (C) ≤0.15%, manganese (Mn) ≤1.0%, silicon (Si) ≤0.5%, sulfur (S) ≤0.015%, copper (Cu) ≤0.5%.
Physical properties of Inconel600 high temperature alloy seamless tube
Inconel600 high temperature alloy seamless tube has excellent physical properties.
Its density is about 8.4g/cm³ and its melting point is between 1370 - 1425℃. Its mechanical properties are also different under different conditions. In the annealed state, the tensile strength is about 550-690Mpa, the yield strength is about 240Mpa, and the elongation is about 30%-35%; in the solution treated state, the tensile strength is about 500Mpa, the yield strength is about 180Mpa, and the elongation is about 35%.
Corrosion resistance of Inconel600 high temperature alloy seamless pipe
Inconel600 high temperature alloy seamless pipe has excellent corrosion resistance. In water and steam media, its corrosion resistance is excellent. In some weak acids, dilute oxidizing and reducing acids, it also shows good corrosion resistance, and in various weak organic acids, the corrosion rate is very low.
It is particularly worth mentioning that it is particularly resistant to alkali corrosion and can also withstand corrosion from various neutral and caustic salts. However, in some weak acids, its corrosion resistance is relatively poor.
