What are the differences between Inconel 600 and 625 Nickel Alloy Sheets?

Inconel 600 sheet is a basic nickel-chromium alloy used in high-temperature environments, while Inconel 625 sheet is a higher-performance, more complex nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy with added niobium/molybdenum, significantly improving its strength, corrosion resistance, and chloride resistance, making it particularly suitable for marine/chemical environments. Although, in some cases, Inconel 600 sheet has slightly better high-temperature oxidation resistance. The main difference lies in the higher chromium (20-23%) and molybdenum (8-10%) content in Inconel 625 medium-thick sheets, giving them superior strength and corrosion resistance compared to the lower chromium (14-17%) and molybdenum-free Inconel 600 thin sheets.

What is Inconel 625 Plate?

Inconel 625 sheet is a molybdenum and niobium-reinforced nickel-chromium-based superalloy sheet.
