The difference between Inconel 601 and 625 round bars

The difference between Inconel 601 and 625 round bars
Inconel 601 rods exhibit excellent performance in high-temperature oxidation (thanks to the aluminum content), while Inconel 625 rods possess superior overall corrosion resistance (especially against pitting and crevice corrosion) and higher high-temperature strength (due to the molybdenum and niobium content). Therefore, 601 alloy rods are more suitable for furnace components, while 625 rods are ideal for marine/chemical equipment applications, despite 601 rods having a slightly higher melting point and good resistance to carburization.
What is the difference between Inconel 625 and 601?
Inconel 601 has a melting point of 2467°F (1350°C), while Inconel 625 has a melting point of 2375°F (1310°C). In terms of tensile strength at room temperature, Inconel 601 ranges from 590-930 MPa, while Inconel 625 has a slightly higher strength of 690-895 MPa.
