Monel 400 (UNS N04400) is a nickel-copper alloy that performs well in seawater and chemical environments. Compared with other nickel-copper alloys, this alloy has excellent corrosion resistance, especially resistance to neutral and alkaline salts. It is particularly resistant to hydrochloric and hydrofluoric acids when they degas.
