Introduction to Inconel 600 Pipe

Inconel 600 pipe is a durable and versatile industrial pipe made from a nickel-chromium-iron alloy (UNS N06600), renowned for its excellent high-temperature strength, oxidation resistance, and resistance to chloride-ion stress corrosion cracking. Its wide operating temperature range, from cryogenic to 2000°F (1093°C), makes it ideal for harsh environments and is widely used in chemical processing, heat exchangers, nuclear reactors, and aerospace. While hardenable only by cold working, it is easily welded and can be fabricated using standard shop practices.

What are the specifications for Inconel 600 pipe?

This material's composition includes 72% nickel, 14% chromium, and 6% iron, along with carbon, manganese, silicon, sulfur, and copper. This composition also makes the pipe stronger. The material has a minimum yield strength of 310 MPa and a minimum tensile strength of 655 MPa.
