Inconel 686 seamless steel Pipe has the following characteristics:
1. Good resistance to corrosion by reducing, oxidizing and nitriding media
2. Good resistance to stress corrosion cracking at room temperature and high temperature
3. Good resistance to dry chlorine and hydrogen chloride gas corrosion
4. Good mechanical properties at sub-zero, room temperature and high temperature
5. Good creep rupture strength, recommended for use above 700℃
Inconel 686 process performance and requirements:
Inconel 686 hot-rolled Pipe
1. Hot working temperature range 1200℃~900℃, cooling method is water quenching or rapid air cooling.
Inconel 686 Cold Drawn Pipes
1. Cold working materials should be annealed or solution heat treated, the work hardening rate of 686 alloy is close to that of austenitic stainless steel, so similar processing equipment can be selected.
Welding process of Inconel 686 welded pipe
The alloy has good welding performance and can be connected by various methods such as arc welding, argon arc welding, resistance welding and brazing. Large or complex welded structures should be annealed at 870℃ for 1h after fusion welding to eliminate welding stress.
Application of Inconel 686 Alloy Round Pipes:
1. Thermocouple sleeves in corrosive atmospheres
2. Vinyl chloride monomer production: resistance to chlorine, hydrogen chloride, oxidation and carburization corrosion
3. Uranium oxidation conversion to hexafluoride: resistance to hydrogen fluoride corrosion
4. Production and use of corrosive alkali metals, especially in environments using sulfides
5. Nuclear reactors
6. Curved neck bottles and components in heat treatment furnaces, especially in carburizing and nitriding atmospheres
GNEE specializes in the production of various heat-resistant and corrosion-resistant alloy steel pipes. The factory is currently equipped with the following cold rolling mill equipment and supporting heating furnaces, cold drawing machines, straightening, pickling, non-destructive testing and other auxiliary facilities. The entire production line is designed to have an annual production capacity of 1,800 tons.
