Inconel 601 melting point

Inconel 601 is a nickel-chromium-iron alloy strengthened and protected by the addition of aluminum. Its core characteristic is its exceptionally excellent resistance to oxidation, carburization, and sulfidation at extreme temperatures up to approximately 1250°C, while maintaining superior high-temperature strength and thermal stability. It is specifically designed for environments requiring long-term exposure to high-temperature corrosive atmospheres, such as high-temperature heat treatment equipment, industrial furnace components, combustion systems, petrochemical cracking tubes, and aerospace hot-end components. It is particularly suitable for harsh conditions involving alternating oxidation and reduction, making it a top-tier material for solving high-temperature oxidation and thermal fatigue problems.

What are the uses of Inconel 601?

The properties of INCONEL 601 alloy make it widely used in heat treatment, chemical processing, pollution control, aerospace, and power generation. 601 alloy is a common structural material for various heat treatment equipment.

Inconel 601

Inconel 601 has a melting point range of approximately 1360–1411 °C (2480–2570 °F), with a solidus (start of melting) at approximately 1360 °C (2480 °F) and a liquidus (complete liquefaction) at approximately 1411 °C (2570 °F). This high melting point range makes it ideal for high-temperature applications and provides good strength and oxidation resistance.
