1. Ultimate Tensile Strength (Rm)
Standard Minimum (ASTM B348/B265): ≥ 895 MPa (130 ksi)
Typical Annealed Condition: 930–965 MPa (135–140 ksi)
Peak Heat-Treated Condition: Up to 1,100 MPa (160 ksi) or higher
2. Yield Strength (Rp0.2)
Standard Minimum (ASTM B348/B265): ≥ 828 MPa (120 ksi)
Typical Annealed Condition: 860–930 MPa (125–135 ksi)
Peak Heat-Treated Condition: Up to 1,000 MPa (145 ksi) with solution treatment and aging
3. Elongation at Break (A)
Standard Minimum (ASTM B348/B265): ≥ 10% (gauge length = 5×diameter)
Typical Annealed Condition: 12–15%
Peak Heat-Treated Condition: Slightly reduced, typically 8–10%

4. Hardness
Annealed Condition:
Brinell Hardness (HB): 320–360 HB
Rockwell Hardness (HRC): 30–36 HRC
Vickers Hardness (HV): 340–380 HV
Heat-Treated Condition:
Brinell Hardness (HB): Up to 380 HB
Rockwell Hardness (HRC): Up to 40+ HRC
Vickers Hardness (HV): Up to 400 HV
Key Notes
Grade 5 titanium (Ti-6Al-4V) is the most widely used titanium alloy, offering an excellent balance of strength, lightweight, corrosion resistance, and heat treatability. Properties may vary slightly by product form (bar, sheet, plate) and manufacturing process.
