Both Nimonic 75 and 80A seamless tubes are nickel-chromium-based superalloy tubes, commonly used in high-temperature environments, but they differ significantly in their strengthening mechanisms, temperature resistance, and applications. Nimonic 80A tubes are precipitation-strengthened alloys with excellent strength at higher temperatures (up to 815–1050°C), while Nimonic 75 tubes are solution-strengthened alloys typically used for medium-strength applications with temperatures up to 1000°C.
What is NIMONIC 75 material?
NIMONIC 75 alloy is an 80/20 nickel-chromium alloy with added titanium and carbon. This alloy was originally introduced in the 1940s for the manufacture of turbine blades. It is easy to machine and weld, and possesses good corrosion resistance, mechanical properties, and heat resistance.
