Detailed explanation of Incoloy 800/800H/800HT welded pipes
Incoloy 800, 800H, and 800HT tubes are nickel-iron-chromium alloy tubes commonly used in welded piping systems, offering excellent high-temperature strength and corrosion resistance. The 800H seamless tubes and 800HT round tubes contain higher levels of carbon, titanium, and aluminum to enhance creep strength. These alloys are widely used in petrochemical, power generation, and furnace components. Their main differences lie in their compositional variations, designed to meet specific creep/rupture strength requirements. Due to stricter control over elemental composition, 800HT tubes offer the best high-temperature performance, making them suitable for extreme high-temperature applications such as nuclear reactors or reformer tubes.

What are the differences between Incoloy 800 and 316 stainless steel?
Both Incoloy 800 and 316 stainless steel are high-performance alloys, each with its own specific applications and characteristics. Incoloy 800 is best suited for high-temperature applications requiring excellent oxidation and carburization resistance, while 316 stainless steel is ideal for applications requiring high corrosion resistance and good weldability.

Incoloy 800, Incoloy 800H, and Incoloy 800HT welded tubes offer excellent corrosion resistance, especially in high-temperature environments, demonstrating significant advantages compared to similar alloys. Even under harsh conditions, the high nickel and chromium content of these alloys provides superior resistance to oxidation, carburization, and nitriding.
Compared to stainless steels such as 304 or 316, Incoloy 800, Incoloy 800H, and Incoloy 800HT welded tubes exhibit superior corrosion resistance in highly oxidizing environments containing sulfur compounds (such as sulfuric acid or sulfur-containing gases). They are less susceptible to stress corrosion cracking and pitting corrosion, making them more reliable in applications handling corrosive fluids or gases.
