ASTM B167/B517 Inconel Alloy 601 Pipe Information

ASTM B167/B517 Inconel Alloy 601 Pipe Information
ASTM B167/B517 Inconel Alloy 601 pipes are nickel-chromium-aluminum alloys known for exceptional high-temperature strength, oxidation resistance (up to 2200°F/1200°C), and good aqueous corrosion resistance, making them ideal for furnace components, gas turbines, and chemical processing equipment, offering excellent weldability and ductility, though unsuitable for sulfur-bearing or strongly reducing environments.
How to weld Inconel 601 alloy?
The most commonly used welding techniques for Inconel 601 alloy are TIG welding and MIG welding. TIG welding is the most frequently used technique, as it provides high-quality welds and allows for precise control of heat input and filler metal.

Inconel 601 pipes are chromium-nickel alloy pipes. Inconel 601 pipes possess excellent corrosion resistance and mechanical properties, making them suitable for applications requiring high corrosion resistance and high-temperature strength. It effectively resists chloride stress corrosion cracking. This alloy is non-toxic and biocompatible. Inconel 601 exhibits good corrosion resistance to phosphoric acid, nitric acid, and other corrosive chemicals. Our pipes have good mechanical properties, including specific heat capacity, magnetic permeability, and linear thermal expansion coefficient. It also has good electrical conductivity.
