What is the heat treatment process for Incoloy 800HT alloy?
The chemical composition of INCOLOY 800HT alloy falls within the composition range of 800H alloy, but with a narrower range, and requires heat treatment at a minimum of 2100°F (1149°C). Its carbon content is 0.06% to 0.10% (compared to 0.05% to 0.10% for 800H alloy), and its aluminum + titanium content is 0.85% to 1.20% (compared to 0.30% to 1.20% for 800H alloy).
ASTM B407 UNS N08811 pipes are commonly used in high-temperature environments exceeding 1100°F. At such high temperatures, properties such as creep resistance and fracture resistance are required, and SB 407 UNS N08811 seamless tubes meet these requirements.
