Product Introduction

Inconel X-750 is a nickel-chromium alloy with excellent high temperature properties and precipitation hardenability. It is also known as UNS N07750. The alloy has excellent corrosion and oxidation resistance at high temperatures (up to 1300°F / 704°C). It is often used in high temperature applications such as gas turbines, rocket engines and nuclear reactors where strength and durability are critical.

Inconel X-750 Plate is a corrosion resistant, high strength precipitation hardened nickel-chromium superalloy plate. It has high corrosion and oxidation resistance and maintains its strength at temperatures from cryogenic to 1300°F. After heat treatment, X-750 Plate has good strength at temperatures up to 1800°F. It is easily formed and welded, making it an ideal alloy plate material for structural and high wear applications.

As a leading supplier and manufacturer in China, GNEE Steel offers cost-effective Inconel X-750 products.

Mechanical Properties

INCONEL Alloy X-750 can be subjected to any of a variety of heat treatments. Each provides specific properties and renders the product form optimal for its intended application. Alloy X-750 resists oxidation up to 1800°F under all conditions. The Society of Automotive Engineers has incorporated the most commonly used heat treatment techniques into its AMS specifications* for various product forms.

Corrosion Resistance

INCONEL Alloy X-750 tolerates a wide range of industrial corrosives under both oxidizing and reducing conditions. It resists oxidation and attack by other high temperature corrosion mechanisms.

In hot corrosion testing for automotive applications, weight loss was approximately 5% after exposure to a 90% Na2SO4 + 10% NaCl mixture in air for 100 hours. Samples pre-coated with sodium chloride (by immersion in a hot saturated salt solution), suspended in a furnace at 1700°F and exposed to a moving gas stream containing 1% SO2 for 100 hours, exhibited corrosion penetration of approximately 0.007 inches.

An interesting feature of this alloy is its high resistance to chloride-ion stress corrosion cracking even in the fully precipitation-hardened condition. Standard U-bend specimens of precipitation-hardened material (hardness, 33 Rc) showed no signs of cracking after 30 days in boiling 42% MgCl2.
