Inconel 718 ERWPipes are made from an iron-nickel-chromium alloy that includes 58% nickel, 17-21% chromium, 3-4% iron, 5.2-6.2% molybdenum, 2.8-3.3% niobium, and cobalt and other elements. Together, these elements give the material a range of physical properties that make it ideal for use in aerospace engines and exhaust systems, structural components, and nuclear reactors. In addition to its extremely high heat resistance, this combination of elements also makes it extremely corrosion resistant and weldable. Due to its extreme performance and overall stability at high temperatures, it is well suited for use in many industrial processes, such as chemical plant installations, where it can withstand temperature fluctuations without damage or loss of strength.
718 Inconel ERW Pipes are highly sought after in many industries because of their excellent corrosion resistance, good weldability, and strength comparable to stainless steel. This material is also commonly used in components that require low creep aging and can withstand high temperatures up to 1400°F (760°C). Due to their resistance to vibration fatigue and other mechanical stresses caused by air turbulence, these pipes are widely used in aircraft parts.
