Electric Resistance Welding (ERW) Process
Pipes are manufactured using the electric resistance welding (ERW) process, which involves cold forming a flat steel sheet into a cylindrical shape. The steel is then heated to a temperature that forces the edges of the pipe together, creating a joint without the use of welding filler material.
