X B-2 Hastelloy Metal Pipe
Hastelloy X alloy is a solid solution strengthened nickel-based superalloy. The main solid solution strengthening elements are Mo, W and Cr, which have good corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance. The alloy has good high-temperature properties and can be used for a long time below 900°C, and the short-term working temperature can reach 1080°C. It is mainly used to manufacture high-temperature parts such as blades and combustion chamber parts of aeroengines. The damage forms such as thermal cracks and ablation are now repaired by welding methods. At the same time, HastelloyX alloy can resist carbonization and nitriding.
Hastelloy B-2 alloy is a Ni-Mo alloy with extremely low carbon content and extremely low silicon content. The advantage of this alloy is that it reduces the precipitation of cementite and other phases in the weld seam and heat-affected zone, thus ensuring good corrosion resistance even under welding conditions. Hastelloy alloys have always been known for their excellent corrosion resistance, and Hastelloy B-2 alloy is no exception. It exhibits good corrosion resistance in various oxidizing media, including inorganic and organic acids such as sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, and acetic acid, as well as bromic acid and hydrogen chloride gas.
