Product Introduction

UNS N06022 Pipe can easily be cold-worked since its ductility and cold-forming is the preferred method of forming. More energy is required since the alloy is usually stiffer than austenitic stainless steels. Quick quenched condition has a usual Olsen cup depth of 0.49″. UNS N06022 Advantageous Material Characteristics:

Extremely High Corrosion Resistance: Alloy C22 has excellent corrosion resistance, with the ability to resist corrosion from sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, phosphoric acid and many other types of chemicals. This makes it very popular in the chemical processing industry.
Oxidation Resistance: In addition to its strong corrosion resistance, Alloy C22 has excellent oxidation resistance and is able to maintain stable performance in high temperature environments.
Pitting and crevice corrosion resistance: This alloy resists pitting and crevice corrosion in chlorinated environments and remains intact even under very harsh conditions.
Machinability: Although Alloy C22 is a high-performance alloy, it has relatively good machinability and can be formed and machined by conventional metalworking techniques.
