Hastelloy C276 pipe is a high performance seamless and welded pipe made of nickel-molybdenum-chromium alloy. It has excellent corrosion resistance in a variety of corrosive media, including strong acids, chlorides and alkaline solutions. Its excellent strength makes it suitable for extreme temperature environments.
Hastelloy C276 pipes are mainly classified into two categories - seamless (SMLS) or welded (ERW). Seamless pipes are made from a solid round billet that is perforated in the center, making the pipe hollow. These pipes are stronger and more corrosion resistant than welded pipes because they have no seams or joints where impurities cannot enter. Welded strips make welded pipes into a round shape that is joined at the seams. Both types of pipes can be made in different thicknesses depending on their intended use.
