Forged Fittings formed with Duplex grade S31803 are the best choice for lower expenses with stronger applications. It is intentionally developed to use in heavy industries. It is forged to obtain strength due to higher ferrite and thicker to sustain higher pressure in various applications. The austenitic duplex feature increases Threaded Coupling capability in corrosive surroundings. Forged Unions are immune to chloride decay, such as pitting and chloride stress that causes cracking. Excellent mechanical properties like higher tensile strength, low elongation and increased yield strength support the Socket Weld Elbows at intense stress and bearing loads.

Duplex S31803 structure and characteristics
Duplex S31803 is dual-phase stainless steel showing combine properties of austenitic and ferritic structures. It is high strength ferrite grade enhanced with higher addition of Chromium with molybdenum and 40 to 50 ferrite percentage. Less sulphur in the alloy improves machinability. The austenitic grade feature of corrosion resistance is also upgraded with nickel addition.
