Inconel Alloy 601 is a Nickel based alloy with a high Chromium content (approx. 25wt%) with an addition of Aluminium, which is designed to resist high temperature oxidising atmospheres in the heat treatment of metals and materials. One of the most widely used thermowell sheathing materials and oxygen injection tubes in the metal and glass making industries.

What Inconel 601 Properties make it suitable used for thermal reactors

Inconel 601 Plate is designed is a high-strength grade designed for different stress-induced environments. The Inconel 601 chemical composition comprises of 22.5% chromium, 61.5 nickel, 1.4% of aluminium, 0.5% carbon, 0.3% of manganese, 0.2% of silicon and 14% ferrous. The superior concentration gives the ASME SB168 EN10095 Clad Plate enhanced corrosion and oxidation resistance within the system.

These modules show excellent creep rupture strength coupled with good metallurgical stability of the ISO 6208 Hot Rolled Plate. These plates show excellent oxidation in temperatures ranging up to 2200 degrees F under severe thermal cyclic conditions. Apart from this, the Inconel 601 Alloy Cold Rolled Plate is highly resistant against carburization, making them an ideal choice for use in thermal reactors.
