UNS N08825 Plate is used to create the surfaces of storage tanks and containers for highly corrosive media. Acid containers, chemical storage tanks, seawater purification systems, and boilers utilize these plates and sheets. GNEE Steel is a leading manufacturer of these sheets and plates, supplying them in all sizes. The UNS N08825 Plate has a minimum tensile strength of 662 MPa and a minimum yield strength of 338 MPa when annealed, whereas Alloy 825 Sheet has a minimum tensile strength of 758 MPa and a minimum yield strength of 421 MPa when annealed. The difference is mostly in the thickness. The sheets vary from 0.3 mm to 4 mm in thickness, while the plates range from 4 mm to 75 mm in thickness.

UNS N08825 Sheet Features
UNS N08825 plate can be used in high chloride-containing environments, such as seawater. In an annealed condition, the yield strength of UNS N08825 is about 310 MPa, while its hardness value is 35 Rockwell. On the other hand, Inconel 825 plate has a melting range of 1370°C to 1400°C. While the impact strength of Inconel 825 plate is good at both ambient and cryogenic temperatures, this property significantly decreases when the alloy is exposed to elevated temperatures beyond 540°C. This is because Alloy 825 plate undergoes microstructural changes at temperatures exceeding 540°C, resulting in the formation of a brittle phase.
