UNS N08800 is composed primarily of iron (76%), nickel (32%), chromium (21%), manganese (1.5%), silicon (1.5%), and carbon (0.15%). Additionally, trace amounts of aluminum, cobalt, copper, molybdenum, sulfur and titanium are present. This combination of elements gives Incoloy 800 excellent resistance to oxidation at temperatures up to 1120°F (600°C). The alloy exhibits good strength and toughness even at low temperatures as low as -320°F (-195°C).

Incoloy 800 Chemical Properties
Incoloy 800 is a popular nickel and chromium-based alloy designed to resist corrosion in extreme temperatures and environments. Alloy 800 Uses
Due to its unique properties, Incoloy N08800 has a variety of uses in many different industries. A common application is in glass-lined heating elements where high temperature resistance is critical for efficient operation without damage or failure due to overheating or corrosion from acidic liquids. Additionally, this alloy is often used in valves because of its ability to withstand extreme pressures without leaking or becoming damaged over time due to wear and tear from frequent use. Since it is easy to weld with standard equipment, it can also be used in welding rods.
