Product Introduction

Incoloy 825 Flanges are corrosion-resistant, specialized pipe connectors that join two pipes together. The flange is typically made from an alloy of nickel and chromium with added molybdenum, titanium, aluminium and copper for increased strength and resistance to oxidation. They provide a seal that can withstand extreme pressure while resisting cracking or splitting from environmental factors such as heat, humidity and oxidation. They are commonly used in cryogenic applications because they protect against corrosion caused by acidic environments.

Incoloy Alloy Socket Weld Flange

Inconel Alloy 825 flanges heat treatment

Heat treatment of Inconel 825 flanges involves a process of heating and cooling them in order to achieve desired properties. Heating at high temperatures (1000°C- 1200°C) for 1 hour or more followed by rapid quenching is done. This improves the fatigue strength, stretching limits, hardness and ductility. Finally annealing is done at 600-650°C for 4 hours to improve ductility and corrosion resistance characteristics. Proper heat treatment of Inconel 825 flanges must be conducted as it helps enhance the mechanical properties significantly making it one of the most used materials in various types of engineering applications.

Nickel Inconel 825 flanges Uses

Inconel 825 Alloy are mainly used for high-temperature applications in petrochemical, chemical and power generation industries. They are especially useful for connecting pipes that require Weldneck Flange connections due to their extremely strong construction, corrosion resistance and heat-resistant properties. Inconel 825 Flanges also feature exceptional strength-to-weight ratio and machinability, making them ideal for many industrial applications.
