Fabrication and Testing
Welding: Can be welded using conventional methods similar to stainless steel.
Forming: Excellent cold-forming properties are possible, but excessive cold working can result in an "orange peel" surface texture.
Testing: Pipes must meet stringent requirements, including chemical composition, mechanical properties (such as tensile strength and yield strength), and a defect-free surface. Nondestructive testing, such as eddy current testing or hydrostatic testing, is required to detect defects.
Heat Treatment: Appropriate heat treatment is required to achieve the controlled grain size required for high-temperature applications.
