Spectacle Blind Flanges

Spectacle Blind Flanges are typically used in applications where it is necessary to isolate two sections of pipe from each other. Stainless Steel Spectacle Blind Flanges are used in applications where it is necessary to maintain pressure within one section while allowing another section to be depressurized. For example, they may be used when performing repairs on a pipeline system or when connecting pipes from different manufacturers whose connection points do not match up exactly. Blind Raised Face Flanges, Orifice Flanges and many more grades are also available.

Spectacle Blind Flanges Specifications

There are two main types of Spectacle Blind Flanges: Raised Face and Flat Face. The Raised Face type has a raised area on its surface that allows it to be securely attached to a pipe or other fitting without having to use additional bolting material. The Flat Face type does not have this raised area, but instead features an indentation or hole in the center which can be used with a gasket or o-ring to provide a secure seal.

Spectacle blind flanges are commonly used in the oil and gas, chemical processing and petrochemical industries where a section of pipe needs to be isolated for maintenance, testing or repair. They can also be used in other applications where temporary or permanent isolation is required, such as water treatment facilities or power plants.
